Contract with FCA runs until 2025
Lasse Günther, who missed the majority of pre-season due to an injury he suffered in a friendly against SV Sandhausen, will spend the remainder of the 2022/23 season on loan in order to pick up match practice. The 19-year-old will join current Bundesliga 2 league leaders SSV Jahn Regensburg until the end of the season, with his contract at FCA set to run until 2025.
“For a young player like Lasse, getting match practice at the highest level is incredibly important for his development. We see this loan deal with Regensburg as being the optimal step for him to get plenty of game time, to help him continue his development and showcase his potential,” said sporting director Stefan Reuter.
“I’m looking forward to playing in Regensburg over the next months, because as a young player, I want to play as many games as possible. I’m convinced that I will be able to learn a lot at the club, one that has high ambitions in the second division, in order to help me reach my goal of becoming a regular starter in the Bundesliga,” Günther said about the move.
